Samaritan Ministry

Samaritan Ministry at First Presbyterian Church Milledgeville is dedicated to helping our neighbors in need by providing financial assistance to individuals and families who are struggling to pay their utility bills. It is inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, emphasizing the importance of helping those in need and showing compassion to others.

 This ministry is supported by the donations and contributions from the congregation. Anyone who needs help is welcome to come for assistance.

Assistance is offered on the third Tuesday of the month at 9:00 AM. Applicants should have:

1. A copy of the bill (water, power, gas) in their name

2. A photo ID

3. Time to stay for the entire process (1-1.5 hours)

4. Must not have received assistance from FPC in the past 6 months.

 

Anyone wishing to help us distribute funds should call the office at (478)452-9394. We also welcome donations of breakfast items to share with visitors as they wait for the assistance to be processed.
